2014 Tour Championship - Vegas Odds, Free Picks, + Tee Times

The 2014 FedEx Cup will be decided once again in Atlanta at East Lake Golf Club. The TOUR Championship has made a nice home at East Lake, with the PGA Tour season making it a consistent stop for the final event of the year. The field will be comprised of the top-30 players from the FedEx Cup points standings. Pairings for each of the four days will be done according to the standings in the FedEx Cup. Groups will go off in twosomes each day, so there will just be 15 groups on the course. The first round will begin on Thursday, September 11th.

The FedEx Cup will keep things the same in 2014 from the standpoint of the top-five players in the standings heading into the week having the control over their own destiny. That means that if any one of them were to win the TOUR Championship, it would be a double victory because they would also claim the FedEx Cup trophy as well. Outside of the top-five, the other 25 players in the field for the 2014 TOUR Championship will need to win, plus have some things go their way.

Watch as the FedEx Cup unfolds all week long with complete coverage between Golf Channel and NBC. Golf Channel will hold the coverage of the 2014 TOUR Championship on Thursday and Friday, while NBC will have the weekend.

East Lake GC, Atlanta, Georgia

Since 1998, the East Lake Golf Club has been the continuous home of the PGA Tour Championship—making it one of golf's most esteemed and important locations. The course itself more than lives up to this stature. Located in Atlanta, this course was designed by legendary designer Donald Ross. Ross completed his work in 1913, and in 1994 Rees Jones was tasked with restoring the course to Ross' original design.

A par-72 course, East Lake is best known for one particular hole, its signature. This hole—the 6th—is a 168-yard drive, with a par value of 3, and it plays from an elevated tee to an angled peninsula green. Among the first island greens in America, the hole has tested the mettle of many of golf's greatest players. Everything about the course testifies to the enduring appeal of golf—from its classic layout to its fresh challenges, lurking at every hole.

Free Picks For 2014 Tour Championship

Pick To Win TOUR Championship - The field might be small, but it is full of top quality. The players who have had played the best throughout the season are the ones that get to play this week. Billy Horschel has the hot hand coming off of the win last week, but to win two in a row might be asking a little much. We've been hot on McIlroy and Fowler this season, but Sergio Garcia at 12/1 will be the best bang for the buck this week. Garcia is the best ball striker in the field, and should be able to get it going on the pure East Lake greens.

2013 Tour Championship

Coming into the 2013 TOUR Championship, Tiger Woods was atop the standings. And while Woods had the best odds to win coming in, the other four players controlling their own destiny were in just about as good of shape. That included Henrik Stenson, who sat second. Stenson won the Deutsche Bank Championship a few weeks earlier to get into this position.

After four days of brilliant play and ball striking, Stenson played his way to a win at the 2013 TOUR Championship, culminating in a FedEx Cup championship. Stenson's two wins in 2013 were in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The victories were timely, and as such he won the championship.
