2014 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Vegas Odds, Picks + Tee Times

The 2014 Pebble Beach National Pro-Am will bring out some of the best golfers in the world, as well as other notable athletes and celebrities who make the game their passion. The Pro-Am at Pebble Beach is quite unique because of the fact that the professionals and their celebrity partners compete against their respective field side-by-side throughout all days of the competition. First round action gets underway on Thursday, February 6th, with the final round on being played on Sunday, February 9th barring no delays.

The scenic backdrop of Pebble Beach makes for arguably the best place to play in the world. As pretty as the grounds at Pebble Beach may be though, it's not an easy track. Pebble Beach has a long history with Major golf championships, and the small greens require precision iron shots into the greens. Pebble Beach makes for some of the toughest greens in regulation to hit all year long for the PGA Tour.

With the popularity of this event, there is extensive coverage of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Golf Channel will have plenty of live action on Thursday and Friday, while CBS will have the weekend. On the east coast live golf can be seen later in the afternoon and early evening with the tournament in the Pacific time zone.

Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pebble Beach, CA

Scenically located in the California sun, the Pebble Beach Golf Links is widely heralded as one of the most majestic and beautiful golf courses on the planet. It is little wonder that Pebble Beach is such a prestigious hosting venue for the PGA Tour.

The course itself is etched along the rugged coastline overlooking Carmel Bay—and its attractive features were enough to earn it the distinction of becoming the first ever public course to be named Golf Digest's #1 course in America. It is most famous, however, for the way the course uses the area's own natural geography. The course takes each player on a natural journey along a scenic Pacific peninsula, starting inland and moving gradually through oceanfront holes.

This beautiful course was designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant; established in 1919, the course has 18 holes, a par of 72, and a length of 6,828 yards.

Who's Favored To Win This Week?

Phil Mickelson 12/1 (+1200) - Mickelson was the defending champion last week at TPC Scottsdale, but it was the tournament he envisioned. Lefty was never in contention finishing T42 at 3-under par. Mickelson has a winning history at Pebble Beach, capturing the title a few years ago during that fantastic final round head-to-head against Tiger Woods.

Dustin Johnson 12/1 (+1200) - Like the player above him, Johnson has won this tournament before as well. But Johnson hasn't played in an event since the beginning of January at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. He was defending his title there. He finished T6. It was his first tournament since his win on Halloween at the WGC-HSBC Championship.

Jason Day 12/1 (+1200) - Day finished T2 the last time he teed it up. He came close to capturing the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. This has a feel like it could be a big year for Day. He was close in three of the four Major Championships last season, not to mention several others. He capped off 2013 with a win at the World Championship. Day has the game to get it done at Pebble Beach as long as he keeps it in the fairway. Pebble Beach greens are not receptive to shots from out of the rough; they are too small for that.

Hunter Mahan 16/1 (+1600) - Mahan likes playing in Arizona. He recorded a top-five finish last week and has routinely finished high in the Accenture Match Play. Coming back to California off of his Y4 finish, Mahan is on the radar at Bovada's online sportsbook and others that have pro golf betting odds this week, going off at 16/1. Mahan has an advantage at Pebble Beach because he is a great driver of the golf ball. Those that hit fairways will be in the mix.

Jimmy Walker 22/1 (+2200) - Walker has a win in 2014 which came at the Sony Open in January. He last played at the Farmers Insurance Open but did not make the cut. Still, Walker seems like he has turned a corner and could be a player that is in routine contention every week. Don't expect the disappointing performance at the Farmers Insurance Open to linger. Coming into this tourney, Walker is still sits in first place of the 2014 FedEx Cup Playoff standings.

Jordan Spieth 22/1 (+2200) - There really isn't a more exciting name in golf than Jordan Spieth. Like Walker, he also missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open. But in his three other appearances this season he has finished in the top-20 highlighted by a solo second place at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

Free Picks For 2014 AT&T National Pro-Am

Pick To Win AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am - The player who wins this week will have driven the ball very well. They will need to hit at least 70 percent of fairways to have a chance. Distance isn't a player's best friend this week. This is exhibited by many past winners like Brandt Snedeker and Graeme McDowell. But joining those past winners we think will be Jason Day. At 12/1, it's a nice margin of profit to take the risk. Day is playing well and should carry that confidence into the week and with the rest of the 2014 PGA Tour schedule going forward.

PBO.com's Darkhorse Value Bet - Look for Aaron Baddeley to make some noise this week. At 80/1, the profit margin on Baddeley is sky high; every dollar wagered returns $80 of profit. With an above average putting game and the ability to hit the ball very straight, those in the market for a good value wager this week should check into Baddeley.

2013 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

After two-straight weeks as the bridesmaid to Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson respectively, Brandt Snedeker broke through with his first victory of the 2013 season at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Snedeker had recorded back-to-back runner up finishes prior to getting the win, which made for quite the three-week stretch in the first portion of the PGA Tour schedule.

The victory instantly put Snedeker on the map as a possible Major Championship winner in 2013, but just a few weeks later he was sidelined with an injury that shaped the way the rest of his year would go. He did battle back with a win at the RBC Canadian Open, but was a non-factor in the Majors due to the injury.

2013 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am - Leaderboard

  1. Brandt Snedeker -19 (267)
  2. Chris Kirk -17 (269)
  3. Kevin Stadler -14 (272)
  4. Jimmy Walker -14 (272)
  5. James Hahn -14 (272)
