Played at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, SC., the 2013 RBC Heritage will start on Thursday, April 18th and will run through Sunday, April 21st.

Tune into Golf Channel on Thursday and Friday beginning at 3pm ET for coverage of the opening rounds. The Golf Channel will broadcast on Saturday and Sunday for the first portion of the rounds (1pm-2:30pm ET) before CBS Sports takes over at 2:30pm ET to bring the conclusion of the tournament and a winner.

The RBC Heritage

The RBC Heritage has been a staple on the PGA Tour and a Hilton Head stop since it was established back in 1969. Harbour Town Golf Course is one of the most picturesque scenes n Tour all season. A very unique setting in the backdrop of the laid back area of Hilton Head, Harbour Town presents a tough task for players in the field.

Stretching at a distance of 7,101 yards, this Par-71 layout is not the longest of golf courses that the PGA Tour players, but it is certainly one of the narrowest. Rarely are drivers hit off of the tee, as players stick to fairway woods, hybrids, and irons. The winner of this event will get $1.026 million out of the $5.8 million purse. Let's not forget about the FedEx Cup points either, which will be 500 to the victor.

What Happened In 2012?

There was one player who separated himself from the pack in Hilton Head a year ago. That would be Carl Pettersson. Pettersson piggybacked off of a 66 and a 65 on Friday and Saturday to take a large lead into the final round on Sunday. He didn't even need that 69 he fired over the course of the final 18 holes, but that's exactly what he did, winning by five shots over Zach Johnson.

The 2013 RBC Heritage

The drama of the Masters will still probably linger with the PGA Tour players and fans this week, even going to Harbour Town this week for the playing of the RBC Heritage. Players in the field at the RBC Heritage will enjoy the nice scenery surrounding Hilton Head Island, while the fans will enjoy a great field beginning on Thursday.

2013 Masters Champion Adam Scott will not be in attendance, but names like Brandt Snedeker, Luke Donald, Matt Kuchar, Jason Day, Zach Johnson, Graeme McDowell, Ernie Els and more will be on hand.

RBC Heritage Vegas Odds

At the top of the list of favorites to win the RBC Heritage this week is Snedeker. It will be interesting to see how the No.5 ranked player in the world handles the disappointment of losing the final round lead at the Masters on Sunday. Snedeker carded a final round 75 next to playing partner Angel Cabrera. The Argentinian ended up losing to Scott in the playoff. Still, oddsmakers expect Snedeker to play well, as he is installed at 14 to 1 to win.

Other PGA betting odds for this week include three players all slated with equal 16 to 1 payouts. Donald, Kuchar, and Jim Furyk are expected to be in contention. Both Donald and Furyk have won the RBC Heritage before, while Kuchar simply comes in after a top-10 finish at the Masters.

Donald and Furyk were in contention at the Masters for brief stints over the course of four days, but ultimately were unable to make the moves they needed. But this week turns a new chapter, and the opportunity to get a nice win as the PGA Tour season in 2013 really heats up.

Rounding out the top-five favorites is Jason Day. The Aussie looked to be in control of the Masters late Sunday with a two-shot lead going into No.16 before making back-to-back bogeys. That resulted in Day missing out on the playoff by two shots, for a third place finish.

Free Betting Picks For 2013 RBC Heritage

The Winner - There are a number of good players who can get a win at the RBC Heritage this week, but we are going to go with a player not mentioned in the top-five favorites. Bill Haas has been playing well of late and recorded a top-20 finish at the Masters this past weekend, and just a tournament earlier finished in the top-10. A payout of 40 to 1 awaits bettors who get in on the action for Haas this weekend as well.

Darkhorse Value Bet - K.J. Choi showed that he is still hitting the ball well, putting up a couple of good scores at Augusta. Choi is set at 60 to 1 to win the RBC Heritage this week, and we feel that there is some serious potential value to be gained by picking him as a darkhorse. Choi's game fits Harbour Town pretty well, and if he can make some putts, expect him to be in the mix late on Sunday.

Notable Pairings

Don't look for Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson to be in the RBC Heritage although it could happen. Official info for pairings and tee times for the 2013 RBC Heritage will be posted in this section as soon as event organizers have released them to the public media.
