The CVS Caremark Charity Classic

The CVS Caremark Charity Classic is not an official event on the PGA Tour. The format follows a two-day, two-man team competition which began back in 1999.

In total, there are 20 players from the PGA tour, Champions Tour, and LPGA that make up the field for the event. They are then divided into 10 two-player teams, playing best ball for the two days The best ball format takes the best score of the two players on a given hole, and puts that towards their official score.

The overall theme of this event is Charity. Players earn money and then donate half of it to charity. In addition to the tournament format, there is a skins game that is also played, for which the majority of the skins won is donated to the charity of the player's choosing.

Prior to the start of the event, each player will have a designated charity that they are playing for, and will earn money for that charity during the two days.
