By now, as golf fans, we should all be used to the notion that Tiger Woods will never be the same that he once was. The bar was simply set too high. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t expect a lot from Woods in the 2013 PGA Tour season.
To predict his fortune this season, let’s turn the clock back to last season, where Woods won three times on Tour after going two and a half years without a victory. He captured titles at Bay Hill, Firestone, and Congressional.
But when you look at the resume’ from the 2012 season, there is a glaring omission from the win-department.

The 2012 Ryder Cup tees off this Friday from Medinah Country Club in Illinois. Team Europe comes in as the defending champions, while the United States will be looking to reclaim the Cup on American soil.
It was quite a memorable Ryder Cup back in 2010 at Celtic Manor Resort, Wales. Team Europe captured a tightly contested event 14.5 points to 13.5 points over The United States. It’s hard to think that two years has already passed.
Rory McIlroy sits atop the FedEx Cup point standings going into the final event of the playoffs, the Tour Championship at East Lake Country Club in Atlanta. But the one disadvantage that McIlroy has against his closest competition, is that this will be his first trip to East Lake for the event.
With his second win in four weeks, Rory McIlroy moved all the way up to No.1 in the latest edition of the FedEx Cup playoffs. But he and the rest of the top-70 in the standings do not get a break this week, going to Carmel, Indiana for the playing of the 2012 BMW Championship.

Tiger Woods returns to the course this week, to a tournament that he has historically dominated. But Woods is coming off of yet another disappointing weekend at a Major championship. It certainly wasn’t as disappointing for him as it was for Adam Scott, who also returns to the golf course this week after last blowing a four-shot lead over the final four holes at the British Open.
