Odds To Win 2012 RBC Canadian Open

We are three quarters of the way through the 2012 Major Championships, with the British OPen concluding this past Sunday. It was Ernie Els who bested the field, though at the expense of Adam Scott, who blew a four-shot lead with four holes to play.

Now, the chapter shifters from England, back across the Atlantic to Canada, for the playing of the 2012 RBC Canadian Open.

Els will make his way after the victory at the Open Championship to compete this week, and it one of the favorites in the field going in. But it’s Matt Kuchar who reigns atop the betting odds to win the Canadian Open on lines available at Bovada Sportsbook. Kuchar has already won once this season, capturing the Players Championship back in May.

Kuchar is going off at 11/1 to win the Canadian Open this week, with a host of notable players behind him. That would include Hunter Mahan, a two-time winner on the 2012 season, but hasn’t won in several months. Mahan is just behind Kuchar on the betting line, going off at 14/1 on the payout.

Brandt Snedeker led the British Open after 36 holes, making zero bogeys in the process. But it was a different story on the weekend, particularly on Saturday. Snedeker still recorded a top-five finish after regrouping on Sunday playing with Tiger Woods. Snedeker is one of the favorites coming in this week as well, going off at 22/1 on the betting line.

And then there is Els. It was the first major championship victory in 10 years for Els, who has now won a major championship in three different decades. Els has four major championships overall. You can bet he will be feeling good this week playing at the Canadian Open no matter how he finishes. But oddsmakers believe that he will be a contender at 22/1, or they simply could be piggybacking off of the fact that he won the British Open.

Below, get all of the betting odds for the full field at the Canadian Open going into the week, with updated revised odds formed after each round.
